An Irish Sally Garden

One of the first blogs I started reading regularly was An Irish Craftworker’s Good Life. I love Rebecca’s humour, creativity and determination to make a better life for her family. Since discovering her site I’ve come to regard Rebecca as a friend and although we’ve never met I really enjoy her virtual company. So it was great to hear recently that she’s launched herself another blog (along with her husband Dan who has his own blog about his fabulous handmade wooden toys, they’re now a 3 blog family!). Rebecca’s new blog Irish Sally Garden focuses on their pursuit of a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle and features regular appearances from her extended family of goats and pigs. Pop over and take a look, it’s a real inspiration and you’re guaranteed a warm Irish welcome.

Another gratuitous post about yarn, fabric and being weak-willed!

I’ve been bad – very bad!! I’ve been acquiring goodies from all over this week.

Firstly the lovely Monica at Quilt While You’re Ahead sent me a gorgeous selection of yarn as a thanks for a book that I sent her.

Then I was passing the House Of Patchwork and my feet switched direction and carried me through the door where I found Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora on sale…

…and spotty fabric (I do like a nice spot of spotty)

I am feeling very pleased – there’s nothing nicer than having a lovely stash of yarn and fabric and whiling away the day dreamily pondering new projects.

Bunnies now at Mahar Drygoods

I mentioned a few posts ago that I’d proudly sent off some bunnies to Robert Mahar at Mahar Drygoods. I had a lovely surprise this morning when Zoe emailed me to say that she’d spotted them in his wonderful shop. He’s photographed them so nicely, given them lovely names and has written up the cutest haiku poems about each one. If you’re not busy, stop by for a look.

13th March UPDATE: thanks to everyone who stopped by for a look and to those of you who bought one of the bunnies – the bunnies are now sold out at Mahar Drygoods!
