Thanks to a spell of wet weather followed by lots of warm sunshine everything here in the garden has exploded!
And we’re starting to reap the rewards from all of our hard work – here’s our first homegrown courgette – yum!

At last I have a picture of the hedgehogs in our garden!

OK, so I cheated – but the truth is that I feel really mean blasting the real ones with the camera flash while they’re eating!

So here are the knitted hodgers that I made over the weekend. I’m still playing around with shaping but am hoping to write up this hedgehog pattern to share very soon.

chicken antics!

I topped up the chicken’s dust bath yesterday.

At first it was an orderly affair, then there were 2 in on the act, and eventually all three were crammed into the pot

Daft creatures they are at times, but great entertainment!

My instagram feed:

Hello, hope you are having a good week ๐Ÿ˜Š itโ€™s good here because today thereโ€™s the first proper sunshine for over a month and also Iโ€™ve managed to get some work done and have finished a new pattern. This is for coats and cardigans for my small 7 inch sized animals so they can match their clothing to the larger 9 inch size. All of my patterns including everything pictured here are available on Ravelry and Etsy, link in my bio. Happy knitting you give any of them a go, J x Sending love and best wishes to you and yours for the celebrations of this season, I will hopefully be finishing these socks and enjoying a peaceful pause with my family. I hope to be around a little more in the coming year, see you then x Itโ€™s been ages since I had a new animal pattern but today that changed and there are now squirrels in the little cotton rabbits happy band of animals โ˜บ๏ธ If youโ€™d like to know more you can read all about them and their outfits over on my blog (link is in my profile). Iโ€™m so looking forward to seeing what everyone makes from the patterns, please do share if you give them a go. The few days between cleaning up Christmas and the arrival of the new year are an annual gift that I give to myself, a peaceful pause in the onward march of days when no โ€˜to-doโ€™ lists are allowed to intrude. Instead there is just a gentle drifting, a time for pottering about and flitting between things that feel right at the time, mostly knitting truth be told โ˜บ๏ธ. I hope that the new year brings you a little time to spend on whatever you love best, and that itโ€™s a good year for you and those you love xxx Just popping in from my cosy corner of the couch to wish you all happy holidays. I shall be quietly knitting my socks, eating panettone, watching The Snowman and enjoying a few peaceful days away from the computer with my family. Wishing you good times, spent with those who you love best, and peace and contentment in your heart xxx This year has been such a full on family year that Iโ€™ve had a lot less time to make and write patterns so it feels really good to finally have something new to share. This new pattern is for sweater dresses, something my teenage self would approve of as she loved her maroon sweater dress, they were the height of fashion in the โ€˜80s. Anyway, the pattern is knitted top down and can either be worked flat or in the round. There are 4 yoke designs and you can either make a short sweater or a longer and fuller sweater dress. Iโ€™m excited to see what everyone makes with these patterns so please do come and share your projects in the ravelry or Facebook groups if you give the pattern a go. Full pattern details in my latest blog post, patterns available on Ravelry and Etsy, J x
