Right now there's quite a lot of snow coming down here in loops and swirls of big, fat flakes but it's unlikely to last long and the snow that fell here yesterday evening has already mostly melted away. Even so it's a good excuse to stay snuggled by the fire today where I'll be making more lists for next week (mostly just transferring all the things that didn't get done this week) and playing around with ideas for the next pattern. I have lovely cosy toes too thanks to the socks that I've just finished from Trin Annelie's lovely and currently appropriate 'Snowy Toes' pattern, knitted in The Uncommon Thread's beautiful Tough Sock yarn.
Hope you're keeping well and warm where you are and that there's a lovely weekend stretching out before you x
Love those socks , on my To conquer list this year!

Your photographs are lovely, as ever…and a big OOH for the socks! Our snow has gone, and the day, though cold, is bright and windy. My Do List for today was far too long so I spent time decorating it with doodles instead of doing the doings! Take care of yourself in this wintry weather!

The snow for us was pitifully little and short-lived. However….I’ve just added that sock pattern to my Rav list as they are sublime. Snow or no snow!

Lovely socks. They even look cosy. Must take a look at the pattern. Our snow was short lived too, but it was good to have some.

One of my favorite things is to curl up in my cozy couch, very early in the morning with my coffee and read your blog. I love your socks and they went right on my favorites list. I am envious of your yarn color choices. You have quite an eye for color and design. I am writing from Iowa and we have plenty of snow. We took a great hike this morning to the top of a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. We’re participating in the 52 Hike Challenge. We waiting for the ice storm that Jamie in Oklahoma has gotten.

Beautiful photos, Julie – I love the combination of grey skies, snow flurries, cosy socks and the lovely fire in the stove. We didn’t get any snow here in Dublin – apocalyptic warnings all week and then …. nothing!!

I am so happy that I found your blog yesterday! It was lucky that I found the pattern of your little sweet animals some weeks ago, I knitted a little bunny boy. I am proud that I could realise, I never knitted with a pattern in english 😀. Thank you for your inspirations, the beautiful pictures and when I see the english tea and the cookies I have the feeling to smell it! Love and greetings from Switzerland.
