Happy New Year

Just popping in very quickly to wish you all the best for 2016. Here are some of my happy moments from 2015. The year we got a new flock of hens; Toby had a hair cut and was very excited by his new appearance; Amy started her GCSE year and did brilliantly in her mocks just before Christmas (mostly As and A*s and a few Bs) now she just has to do it for real in May; there were lots of wood walks; a makeover for our bedroom and of course lots of knitting for me.

While I’m here, I thought I’d look back on some previous years mosaic round-ups and feel all nostalgic now!

  2. Happy New Year! And oh my, this mosaics really show how much Toby and Amy have grown up….. Even when they are not my own kids, pictures like that feel bittersweet, time really goes by too fast and furious doesn’t it?
I wish you a warm and gentle 2016 without worry and filled with lots of love.

  3. Happy New Year Julie! Thank you for bringing joy into my world all year long! Toby certainly grew up right before your eyes with the flash if your scissors! Funny how childhood can just fall away…we experienced the same dramatic change in Jack this year…kind of bittersweet. May 2016 be a continuous outlet to let your creativity flow…good thoughts, wishes & vibes your way across the silver sea!

  17. Hi Julie, I’m Ilona, from Spain. I discovered your work with wool on Flickr and immediately fell in love with your animals and knitted. Sorry, I do not speak English, and I am using Google translator.
Flickr I found the link to your blog, and took several days reading all entries, from the beginning in 2006. It is very interesting to discover what life with an autistic child, and how your therapy is to knit.
I am also knitting long, in my case making clothes for dolls, and is also an important therapy for me.
Your designs are wonderful, and you’re a very brave mother. I want to send you greetings and best wishes to you and your family, especially for Toby 🙂 and Amy.
    Happy New Year 2016

  19. Hi Julie this evening I finished my second rabbit this time a little girl one. Knitting is quite a new thing for me but your patterns are so clear and so detailed that I have been thrilled by the results of my two little bunnies. Last week I purchased your girl cat and mouse patterns . I think I am addicted! I just want to say thank you so much for your amazing blog and for sharing your beautiful patterns. Happy new year to you and your family.
