squeak!

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who entered the giveaway in the previous post. I so enjoyed reading all the comments, by turns funny, warm, moving and altogether a lovely reminder that it’s so often the little things that make us all happy. I’ve drawn the winners and posted them at the bottom of the giveaway post.

The last few weeks I’ve mostly been sat here at my computer working on the patterns for the mice and yesterday I decided it was high time to call them finished (it’s all too easy to become just a little obsessive with infinite tweaks to wording and layouts). So I’ve uploaded them to Ravelry and Etsy where they are now available.

Today is the last day of school before the start of the half term break so next week will be full of wet and windy woodwalks for Toby and me and Amy will be having fun performing in a musical version of the Adams Family with her theatre group. I’ll be back after the break as I want to tell you a little more about the making of the mouse pattern but until then I’ll wish you a good week and say thanks for dropping by x

  2. You are one talented lady. Love everything you do. Someday i’m hoping for a teddy bear pattern, no pressure though, it’s just a wish, because I love your bunnies so very much and there’s something about a teddy bear I saw on your site a while back that just melted my heart. I can’t even imagine the hours you put into the pattern writing. They are so well done. Thanks for the inspiration, the sweet photos, and your thoughtful posts.

  3. I came across your blog quite by accident a few weeks ago. Your animals made me smile. I learnt to knit as a child but used to get so frustrated so gave up easily. Roll on 40+ years, two children, now grown up (one of which who is severely dyslexic and struggled through school but did well), an ageing border collie and lovely husband, I have taken up knitting again. I have found myself to be much more patient, though lacking in experience I will have a go. I bought some of your patterns and so far have knitted 3 elephants much to the delight of my extended family and friends. I am about to become a great aunt to twins and another baby. Your patterns have brought so much joy to me personally so I’d like to say a very big thank you.

  5. Another wonderful pattern! I’m working on my third fox right now. I have four children, so I’ll need at least 4 foxes, but the children have been looking over my shoulder and now they want a rabbit, too!

Knitters these two new patterns are written as thoroughly as Julie’s previous ones.

  17. Beautiful mice. A nice Christmas-y gift to be sure – they goes well with “Night before Christmas” and “Winter Wonderland” themes. I just wanted to say that with all the daily struggles and challenges you encounter, it is not hard to see that you are an artist and a true kindred spirit.
