little cotton rabbit dresses

Well the patterns for the seasonal dress collection are done. I’ve bundled 14 different designs into one PDF pattern which includes 3 designs each for Spring, Summer and Autumn attire, 4 for Winter wear and a pretty lace dress for parties and special occasions.

The pattern has 19 pages including a single page with both colour charts and written instructions for each design, an index indicating level of difficulty (most are fairly easy with one or two trickier knits) and full construction details with pictures to show two different options for the sleeve. But if you’re worried about printing all of those pages out you only need to print the 2 pages of instructions and the single page for the pattern you’ve chosen to work on in order to make a dress. The rest of the pattern can sit on your computer for reference and like my bunny patterns all photos are zoomable if you want to see more detail on the fiddly bits. The pattern is available as instant download either on Ravelry or Etsy

I hope everyone who buys a copy really enjoys making their little cotton rabbits a wardrobe of dresses to wear throughout the year.

Now I’m off to do some quiet knitting, rest my brain and catch up with some blog reading – I’m really missing seeing what all my favourite blog people are up to. Thanks as always for dropping in and for supporting my work x

…………………………………………………………………………..

PS: Lots of people have asked about the other animal patterns (fox, elephant, mouse, monkey etc) and I will be writing up these over the coming months.

  6. As you know, I have already managed to whip up a new dress for Tulip, (photos on Ravelry, under Yarn and Floss). Your pattern is amazing..so detailed and well explained. I loved doing those little sleeves. I am crocheting extra hard now, to make up for the knitting distraction! Xx

  8. Darling girl. This is almost like visiting Santa’s actual workshop. What a pile of work you’ve done. I never finished writing up my horse pattern, because it was too hard. But then, you actually know what you’re doing. This is a tremendous gift you have given. If I could come up out of my projects enough to breathe and count the time going by (I feel like one of those professors who lives in an office/forest of piles of books and papers and never knows when the sun goes down), I would make a rabbit and a deer dress and show you the difference between having a pattern and having the gift. But you must just, for now, imagine the result and have a good laugh. But what you do not have to imagine is that I think of you and love you and even though I may be caught in a snow storm of research, that I will be there in every way possible the moment needed.

  30. Thank you so much for releasing your bunny patterns and for the plethora of dresses to accompany! I have been waiting a long time for them and could hardly be more excited. I have already knitted the boy and girl bunny and am started on a third, another girl. If I might try to persuade a little, I would really love to see the fox pattern out. There are no other good patterns out there! And, personally, I think they are the cutest! And since, I’ve been reading a long time, but have never commented, I would like to say that I think you are an amazing mom. Not everyone can deal with the challenges of raising a severely autistic child. I’m sure you are probably hard on yourself at times, as we all are, but you have an uphill battle in an already challenging game of life and you are dealing admirably. Blessings to you and your family. 🙂

  33. So fabulous, thank you so much, I’ve been patiently waiting to make your beautiful rabbits with their wonderful dresses, hoping so much the day would come when you’d feel you could pass the patterns on. I first saw something like your rabbit egg cosy in Tesco – remember that time? that’s actually how I found you – and I’ve been living in hope ever since. Also, thanks for the tips re fair isle style knitting, since you mentioned it I’ve decided to test out the different ways to pass the spare yarn along to see which effect I prefer before I knit any more fair isle style items (which I love), never realised the potential before. Gotta go and bag my patterns on Ravelry – I want my own clothes line – think I’ll have it decorating my sewing room…. beats bunting any day.
