Happy Easter

Just popping in briefly to wish you all a very happy Easter and to say a big thank you for all of the kind, compassionate and wise words on the previous post.

Easter eggs

Sorry for recycling an old image, but I've not had the chance to take a new one! Hope you all enjoy an Easter day with those you love. We'll be having hot-cross buns, roast chicken with all the trimmings (Toby's favourite) and rather a lot of chocolate I suspect!

  1. Happy Easter, Julie. I had a text from a friend an hour ago – her kids are convinced their cat has just killed and eaten the Easter Bunny. There isn’t enough chocolate in the world for such trauma. Hope your Easter is more peaceful!

  2. Happy Easter! You are amazing on so many levels, I am so thrilled at all the positive help in your life. Your little eggs are just as adorable as your bunnies.

  3. Lovely eggs. They are so pretty and calming. Hope things are going better with Toby. I’ve heard from some ladies in my quilting group that weighted blankets help. Have you heard about that? I guess it is 20% (?) of their body weight and it helps calm them. I could find out the info and send it to you. Have a nice Easter holiday.

  4. Thanks Auntie Pami, we have a weighted blanket and Toby loves playing with it and lying under it but refuses to have it over him when he is in bed. I tried putting it over him once he was asleep but he got upset when he woke. Thanks for the idea though, I know they do help some children x

  5. A happy one to you too.
I’ve just wrapped the Bunny Egg Cosy I made (thanks to you) to go with my granddaughter’s egg cup (with her name on) for her first Easter!
Hope you have a peaceful day.

  7. Hi Julie
I always think that once Easter is over Spring is really here……….in Canada anyway. It is still rather cold at night though.
Thought I would share some information with you I heard last night on the news. It appears that a new study has been released in USA that found that autisim is somehow linked to the weight of the mother pre birth (30 pounds over weight ) nothing I might add was said about the weight of the father…..but this does support a genetic link which research has been trying to find evidence of.1.8% higher chance of having an Autistic child.
It also appears that Toronto Canada is hosting The World Autistic Conference this year. It is unfortunate it is only open to the medical world.
    With regards,from Utopia Canada
