a splash of colour

I'm a little late in joining Silverpebble's splash of colour but I'm missing the rich colours that we had in autumn and the sparkle of Christmas time so a little splash of colour is a very welcome thing.

  Buttonjar

My little splash is a colourful jar of new micro buttons ready for sewing onto bunny clothes (just need to make the bunnies now!). There's lots of lovely bright and cheerful images over on the flickr group.

  1. Microbuttons? Oh my lilttle ones would adore these. I might have to invest in some -I see hours of sorting ahead. Thanks for this lovely image Julie. We have sunshine here today but last week was grey and dreary. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend x

  2. Happy New Year! That looks a lovely jar o’ buttons: I keep mine in an old milk bottle but don’t have anywhere near as many as that. We all need a bit of colour at the mo, in my humble opinion. The world has been rather dreary and grey of late!
Happy Sunday to all at Chez Cotton Rabbits =) x

  4. Hi Julie,
Just stumbled across your site, it’s lovely.
I wonder if you remember us? My daughter Olivia is the proud owner of one of your bunnies, although it is a little grubby now through years of love!
You gave it to her as present about 5 years ago when we finished the music therapy group in Stevenage.
Hope you and your family are all well. Olivia still remembers Toby and the music group fondly!

  5. Like my Christmas lights. Except a little less rebellious. I am spending the day on the couch, fighting off a cold. I’ll let the colors rest on my eyes a bit –

  6. Something instantly appealing about a jar of buttons, isn’t there? We certainly needed a splash of colour – though today was sunny, at last!

  9. They remind me of parma violets, but multi coloured. Very drab and dismal here as well, it always makes me want to buy new cushion covers to get some winter colour around the place!!

  10. Isn’t it fun to collect buttons? My mother used to keep hers in an old cookie tin and I just loved always looking at all the bright colors and different shapes.
I’m looking forward to seeing all your new creations this year. I’m hoping for the chance to buy one for myself!
