reasons to be cheerful, 1-2-3

On Friday Toby slept through the night for the first time this year (fingers crossed it's the start of a new sleep pattern – a permanent one!)

my spring animal knitting is progressing well (news will follow shortly for those interested)

Spring girls

our little daffs have now flowered and so Amy & I have made a little easter display with the eggs I knitted a few years ago. The only downside is that the morning sun shows how much the windows need a clean. Time to think about spring cleaning!

  1. Oh, such good news about Toby, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you – when I’ve stopped typing of course! Isn’t it wonderful to see the sun, but I’m horrified by the cobwebs that seem to have appeared in every available corner here. Love your latest Rabbits and friends.

The sun is shining here too, and my dust is showing everywhere.
Fingers crossed for some more full nights 🙂

Ummmm … how about I wish reeeeeaaaaaally hard for one of those monkeys (or y’know, pigs, foxes, rabbits, mice ….). Do you think the Easter Bunny is listening?

  5. Today is apparantly the first day of Spring ( unofficially – it should be the 20th ) but with the bright sun and no rain it does seem like it … I so feel for you with the not sleeping through the night . Milo started sleeping through when Gabe was born and he has just started sleeping through so that was five and a half years of broken sleep – fingers crossed for you that it is a permanent one. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get one of your gorgeous bunnies , just over two years of trying 🙂

  7. So glad to hear your little one slept through the night, I don’t sleep well myself so I know how hard and distressing it can be. Daffys are lovely, think I may invest in some bulbs. Looking forward to trying the little bunny pattern I bought from your shop, eager to see what you’ve been making, the monkey is my fav so far. Your blog always makes me smile. Dawn Marie.xx

  17. Hi Julie,
I have just started setting up a website (nothing added as I write this) hoping to bring together a selection of crafts/crafters/designer-makers/supplies – UK based. It’s hard to get started, with a plethora of great sites/blogs like yours around. Would you mind me linking to your blog? My intention is to showcase blogs/sites as I go, once I get going properly.

Julie I would never have noticed the windows if you had not mentioned them, the daffs and the eggs look so good I was just looking at them. Getting ready for a race for a rabbit 😉

  27. I hope your son continues to sleep through the night, when you get a taste of a “whole nights sleep” your body realises what’s its missing out one. I also hope to have the opportunity to purchase one of your beautiful little animals, I have a daughter who would also love them, but I might need to buy 2 so that I don’t have to share!!!

  31. Hoping to be able to be able to get another little rabbit for my daughter Elsie after the first beautiful one was lost on an outing. Our second daughter is due in 2 weeks so I she’ll be ‘needing’ one soon too. Trying not to think about the sleepness nights to come.

  32. Lovely for you = I remember going over 4 years without an unbroken night with my second and third. How you maintain that even calm that comes through your words, I don’t know. Maybe because of the love that also comes through them. Love the pastels and hopeful designs. It was nearly warm yesterday, with the sun out in the morning. Now we’re all a blizzard. From the mountains of Utah – a shiver, and thank you for showing me the daffs. They do seem to promise something
