It's all finished!
I'm loving this cardi although I do wish I'd seen this adaptation first as I love it even more as a pullover. I'll just have to make another one!

Hi, love the cardi and have just downloaded the pattern.
Have you mentioned what yarn you used and I missed it? And also how did you find the sizing?
Hope you don’t mind all the questions! Thanks, Dawn

Thanks Dawn. I used some vintage yarn from my stash – Annabel Fox Chunky Donegal (a bulky yarn – around 100m per 100gms – I used 530gms) and slightly larger needles than the pattern recommended (7.5mm). I also added an extra stitch to both button bands (6 instead of 5) and followed some modifications from here: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/ishi/shalom-cardigan for the arms.
Hope this helps

I love this pattern – it’s been on my Ravelry queue for some time now. I really like it as pullover too. Oh bother, looks like I’ll be casting it on soon. Still, have nothing else to knit! Hope Toby is all better now.

Looks very nice on you. Julie, there’s something different about you? Has your hair grown long? Looks great tied up. I noticed how lovely and long Amy’s is on a recent post.

Its a charming style – so simple yet interesting, and the colour is a really useful one. Hope you enjoy wearing it. I won’t be knitting one just yet though – more puppets and a hat in the queue!

That’s turned out beautifully – I love the yarn, gorgeous colour. I think you’ll get more use out of a cardigan, but hey, any excuse to knit another beautiful jumper can’t be bad!

gulp, I downloaded Meghan’s pattern 2 years ago and it’s still in my ‘knit ideas’ folder. I’m not an experienced knitter though so I reckon I’ll be good to go in about a decade. Thanks for the reminder and yours turned out beautifully. N x
