happy new year

Just popping in to wish you a very happy start to 2010.

Here we've had a good Christmas and the children are just back at school (although maybe not for long as it looks like snow may force school closures later in the week!). Anyway, the first of my new year's resolutions is to tackle my mountainous email backlog and I'm not coming back properly until that is done, so for now I'll leave you with some of my favourite things from 2009…

See you soon, J x

  1. I received your “Year in Cotton Rabbits” calendar I ordered from Red Bubble yesterday and it is absolutely precious. Just so you know, you will brighten my life, every day this year, by the beautiful hand work you have created. Joan Anderson

  2. Happy New Year Julie! I’m using my calendar, but I think I shall only put lovely dates on it and leave the horrible stuff for a boring google printout.
Enjoy the snow if it comes. It’s looking like it might miss us altogether … d’you think I can keep the kids at home to play with anyway?

  3. It is 10 to 11 here and I keep letting all the freezey air in when checking to see if the foot of snow they have promised us has arrived yet.

  4. Happy New Year Julie – I hope it is a good one for you.
We have about a foot of snow here – I’m going of changing our adress to White Cottage, Narnia! It’s so beautiful to look at, so hazardous to go out in. Which means my hair appointment tomorrow might have to be missed and so I’ll start the new year looking like a shrub!

  5. Happy New Year, Julie. I enjoyed seeing that collection from throughout the year, but especially those “hedgepodges”, er I mean hedgehogs… I do want one of your hedgehogs…

  6. Happy New Year to you Julie and everyone at “The Burrow!”…we’re seriously snowed in for the second day.. there’s no school…so yesterday we built a snowman…and today the plan is to bake bread and finish a certain sheep project which has languished in the knitting basket for 12 months! Hooray for snow!

  8. Happy New Year to you Julie!
My calender is looking wonderful in my kitchen, and like Val, I almost don’t want to deface it with my messy scrawl!
Hope you’re not too snowed in now – we are!

  10. Hey Julie,
I was sitting here thinking ‘I should send Julie an email, catch up and wish her and her lovely family a fabulous new year.’ then I read this post and changed my mind. That would only increase the amount if emails you had to reply to! So instead I’ll leave you a comment and wish you a year where all your dreams come true. Thank you for being my lovely blog friend for another year! Catch up soon…when all your emails are under control!

  12. I missed you post during the holiday and got a lift today. I’m just wondering if any publishers have approached you to write a knitting book. I’ll be the first to place an order. Have a wonderful 2010.

I wish you and your family all the best for 2010.
I love your photo collage. It is always such a pleasure to look back on old photos and going back through a blog refreshes those memories.
May 2010 be filled with happy moments.
