Thanks so much for all of the kind comments about my arm, you're a very compassionate lot and reading that I'm not the only one to ignore the advice of my mum made me feel like less of a twonk! The arnica and cold compresses helped lots and the bruise has definitely reached the 'looks worse than it feels' stage and is currently a lovely shade of chartreuse. Anyway, now I'm able to knit again which is a huge relief – was jonesing there for a bit!
I'm enjoying a bit of gentle-paced lacey knitting and am working on a scarf from this beautiful pattern – simple 4 row repeats giving a really effective result especially in the lovely kidsilk yarn from Rowan.

I love this lacey pattern. Especially with that whimsical yarn. Lovely.
My main craft is rubber stamping, but I also adore knitting. I piddle in other crafts like beads and sewing, but stamping and knitting are my favorites. I just love the little cotton rabbit stamps that my Mom found recently. They should be on their way to me now and I can’t wait! I’m going to attempt sewing a rabbit (and owl) very soon–once I finish a scarf I’m working on. I’m notorius for starting too many projects and not finishing them.

you and your blog are truely an inspiration to all us stay at home mums who try hard to do the right thing for our kids and families but, have to fight hard to remain ourselves as well.

That is a lovely yarn. Makes me want to knit a lacy scarf, although I have a pair of socks for a friend on the needles right now. I was thinking of your arm the other day when I took a tumble walking back home from the school bus stop after dropping off my daughter. My foot found a hole in the ground and twist! went the ankle and I now have lovely color and an ankle the size of a grapefruit. 🙂 I feel your bruise! And I wasn’t running and it wasn’t wet outside.
