a little giveaway to celebrate spring

Blossom09

I know that I always bang on about blossom at this time of year but plum blossom is the first indication that spring has arrived again in our little garden and that makes me very happy. Toby is an outdoorsy kind of boy and life in the warmer weather is more relaxed and fun for him, so I'm cheered by the lovely thought of all of those warm and sunny days to come with paddling pool splashing, bubble chasing, tea in the garden and a bit of knitting in the sun for me of course!

Blossom209

Anyway, with spring and Easter in mind I've finished off the egg cosy pattern.

Pinkie

It will be available in my etsy pattern shop before the end of the week but if you'd like to win a free copy of this pattern in advance then please leave a comment below and I'll draw 20 winners first thing on Thursday morning.

Sorry but comments are now closed, 9.25am,Thursday March 19th

Blossom time is a very special time of the year and we love it too, down here. Our geranium vases are back out on the balconies in the sun light and now we’re waiting to see the first rose buds of this spring! Your egg cosy is simply adorable, the most lovely little face around – thank you for the kind giveaway and most of all for making the pattern available on Etsy. I just can’t wait to try to knit one! Have a nice day.

Also, I don’t know if you’ve seen it yet, but I’m organising a bloggy meet up near Oxford in the Easter holidays and it would be lovely to see you too (although I understand that it could be very difficult for you to make it)

I have almost forgotten spring. I’ve taken so many pictures of hoar frost and fog, freezing horses and snow covered dogs, I’d nearly forgotten that spring will come. And with it – happily – an email from you. I don’t think you should probably send me one of the patterns because I’m in the US, and it would cost too much. But please accept this very delighted return of your spring greeting and my best wishes for those blossoms. May there be no late frost.

We’re heading into winter down here in New Zealand and there’s a chill in air. The eggs we collect from our little black bantams would love to be warm inside one of your ‘egg cosies’, (and it might also encourage miss 5 to let us eat the eggs rather than just hoard them in the fridge!

I love the start of spring, the pretty flowers and the opportunity to throw the kids out into the garden once more. We had thought we were heading into autumn here in Melbourne (such a relief after the bushfires this year) but its high 20’s today and up to 30 on the weekend.
