RedBubble

Thanks so much to everyone who has emailed me and left comments about the calendar fiasco over at Lulu. I'm really pleased that the people who ordered a copy are pleased with their calendar but also sorry to those of you who wanted a copy and missed out. A couple of people have been kind enough to email me links to other 'print on demand' companies and after looking into a couple of different ones I've started uploading some images to Redbubble who look brilliant!

The best thing about their service is that they also offer greetings cards so since yesterday tea-time I've been busy on photoshop brushing up my rusty design skills! Luckily the photographs that my husband takes are really good quality (it helps being married to a professional photographer!) and so I've kept the designs simple. Unlike Lulu (who had insane postage prices) RedBubble are very reasonable and you can pay in a range of currencies. I'm trying to put together another calendar but some of my images need re-processing at a larger size so it's not yet ready.

I'm really pleased that I can now offer greetings cards and if anyone would like a particular image or salutation on a card (not personalised though) please let me know and I'll see if I can help.

You can check out the range of cards I've done so far here and I'll be slowly adding more over the next few weeks.

  1. So glad you are moving forward with other possibilities for “print on demand.” I look forward to the calendars when they are ready. Until then I will have to shop for greeting cards.
    Each and every one of your critters is darling.

  4. excellent plan with the cards! I’m off to take a look!
    How very clever of you to marry a photographer! I married an Apple Mac man – equally useful but no help with the photography! Maybe we could pool our hubbies for a swap (although not in the biblical sense you understand! :-0) t.xx

  6. I’m obviously lucky to live in the States as I have received my calendar from Lulu at a reasonable rate. Of course, it is just beautiful. But I do like the idea of the greetings cards as well and I love that you have put in some of your great illustrations. What an artist!

  8. Hi Julie
    i got my calender last week its lovely and i was delighted to see so many of the bunnies i recognised ( ;
    i set up a red bubble in the summer, but ended up not getting round to doing a blog post on it. i had wanted to sell some of my photos as cards for charity fundraising at 1.50 each. But when mam put an order through they came up at £2+ because of added VAT.
    I clicked through to yours and they all look amazing, you’ve worked hard! i will definately think about getting a couple.
    love and wishes today, Kat x

    You’re so lucky to be married to a photographer (my photography skills are really useless).

  10. Hello Julie, I’m not sure if already know this but you have a little mention in the December issue of 25 Beautiful Homes. There’s a small picture of your knitted cakes and your typepad address is mention to let people know where they can buy the beautiful cakes from.
    Congratulation it’s an amazing magazine to have a little part in.

I adore the monkey toy on one of your cards – would there be any more available – my third and littlest daughter is monkey obsessed and she would adore one – no pressure – her birthday is not until June – anyway a wonderful blog – just beautiful – lots of love Sheridan x
