Small, demanding children have been holding me hostage for years. There is no escape. Feeding them definitely calms them. You are a good prisoner to be playing top trumps with them – it is a well documented form of torture. Stay strong and sane.
lol Julie, you are too cute! I took my 8 year old neice to High School Musical when I was in Washington w/my father. I couldn’t resist the blue eyes and freckles begging me to take her! ๐
Enjoy Bunnyknitter…;)
Tee hee – I am fighting back against my small demanding people, by shoving them in the car and driving them round the country to see various lovely folks – some of them are even bloggers! It’s been a good plan.
See you on the other side…

My two eat FAR more when they’re home in the holidays than when they’re at school. Do yours? Why do they do that?!
Hope you get through it – mine is unexpectedly very enjoyable!

Be strong, captive one,the time for your release is nigh.Small terrors have invaded my home, forced me to play aeroplanes and Hot Wheels monster trucks on my knees while eating my food and making way too much noise(but thats what nannies are for)—no chance of knitting the cupcakes just yet!!

Hang on in there, there are approximately 5000 minutes until they go back to school. That is time for 335 games of Top Trumps. But if you want a bit of variation, I’ll send over a set of Bratz Top Trumps by special delivery.

Don’t underestimate the power of the repeat button on the DVD. A useful tool in any trapped mother’s weaponry. Maintain a activity level that keeps them occupied. Ensure this activity is contained to tasks that require little to no adult participation, at a stretch you might need to allow activities that require adult supervision. These should be avoided if possible. With that being said, we all have to take one for the team sometime. My last suggestion is to secret your knitting around the house in multiple stashes. This way if you’re discovered enjoying your meditative art in one area of the home you still have options open to you. DO NOT DIVULGE YOUR SECRET LOCATIONS. If discovered, it’s just name, age and drivers license number.
I wish you well. Stay strong.
God speed the next terms arrival.

Just seen your beautiful knitted cakes in the christmas (DEC) edition of 25 Beautiful Homes, congratulations. So exciting. All the best, a fellow knitterx
Hi Julie
I know exactly how you feel, it will soon be over, hang on it there sweetie. Just wanted to let you know that you are featured in my photoshoot in 25 Beautiful Homes magazine this month. I bet you will be inundated with orders now!!!

dear bunny knitter; only one plan will work, you must put locks on the cupboard under the stairs and hide yourself in there until they are called back to the big buildings by the people who know how to control them! t.xx
I love reading your blog, beautiful and inspiring! I’m a primary school teacher and I find it so ironic that during half term (usually the only time I get to knit) you are unable to knit because of the children! …. knitting teachers love the holidays, maybe knitting parents don’t!!
Dear Bunnyknitter…Don’t try to fight it…Go with the flow…Hope to hear back from you soon… ๐
