We had a wonderful time yesterday at Amy’s ballet show and she really shone on stage. I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of the performance but snapped away like mad backstage. She adored her romantic ballet dress and the sparkly make-up.
It was quite a job to convince her to take her costume off afterwards – I think she’s have happily slept in it given the chance!

what a gorgeous ballet dress, i dont have a little girl to dress up, dont think my boys would be impressed – lol

Oh Julie, I can’t blame your little dancing princess for not wanting to take that number off! It is just so beautiful. She must have felt like an angel. I look forward to sharing times like this with Freya – Jen

What a beautiful outfit! My little ones enjoy ballet too – though the older one finds it a bit hard to concentrate!

ah, she is beautiful! my daughter loves the makeup, too – but not the mascara, she had a tiara with her costume, too – but for the spring recital they wore flower headbands because they were the flowers from ‘Alice in wonderland’. everyone liked the tiaras better! 😉

Wow, Amy looks gorgeous and a very graceful ballerina. Well done Amy I hope you really enjoyed the performance and all the hard work paid off – I’m sure it did! I’m not surprised you didn’t want to take that beautiful dress off. Sparkles and glamour, what more can a girl ask or want for? Congrats to you both.

Amy looks simply beautiful, a perfect ballerina all sparkles and poof 🙂 When I was little I always wanted to dance ballet, the shoes alone captivated me to no end! I can definitely see why you had a hard time convincing her to take her finery off lol 😉

Amy looks so beautiful. She reminds me of when I took ballet lessons–I loved the costumes when they had nice, full skirts like her’s. It sounds like she gave a great performance as well.
Another beautiful post on your blog….

Deanne, my boy does ballet and LOVES it! It is fabulous for his co-ordination and stamina and has improved his footballing abilities no end.

Oh, how lovely! She looks beautiful! My daughter is 5, and she’s having her first ballet show in two weeks. I’ve seen a bit of the rehearsals, and they look so cute… not yet as greceful as yours, but very cute.

I no longer ever need to buy “lifestyle” magazines when I can simply drop by your website and blog and get loads of creative ideas and see wonderful photos and read great narrative. You definitely just need to add a “dog” – the lifestyle pages always feature a dog – say a blue grey whippet just lolling at your feet, or curled up on the children’s bed.
It is so lovely to drop by for a browse.

Your girl looks lovely! I just posted a ballet-message on my weblog too: http://vlijtig.blogspot.com/2008/06/dancing-all-night.html. When I read what you are writing it is obvious that balletgirls don’t change. I always have to talk extensively to get my little girl out of her pink dress.
