frosts, visits and cold necks!

Frosty_sage

Winter has arrived here with frosty mornings and we’ve had a busy few days. At the weekend we went to visit Mum who is still soldiering on valiantly with the halo brace. We’re all hoping that it will be off before Christmas while at the same time trying to keep in mind that it will come off when it’s job is fully done. Hopefully Mum will know one way or another at the end of the week. Thanks again for all the continuing good wishes for her, I know she is really grateful for them all.

Thanks too for all of the lovely comments about my paintings. It’s funny really as it seems like a different lifetime but then I think many of us feel that way about life before and life after children! I’m hoping to take some pictures of the rest of my portfolio of work and put them on flickr. If you wanted to see the ‘storm in a teacup’ nude picture it’s on there!

And now I’m off to make myself a new scarf seeing as I’ve managed to loose the lovely snuggly big wool red one that I made a few weeks back. And just at the time when I need it most! Feeling a bit peeved with myself!

  2. I had a nice pink scarf … and have obviously left it somewhere. Maybe I should make an elastic ‘tie’ and sew it to my coat, like they used to do with kids’ mittens?
All good wishes for your mum.

  3. I love your nude picture. To me it is much more than a ‘nude’. There is real feeling in there and it is really very beautiful. I can’t see how something so lovely could possibly cause offence.
I hope everything goes well for your Mum. It’s not easy to be patient but I’m sure you’ll all manage! Every time I climb our loft ladder I have a picture of your Mum with me telling me to be careful!!!!

  4. I hope your Mum will be able to get her halo off before Christmas too, tell her I wish her well 🙂
And isn’t that just murphy’s law about your scarf, we always seem to lose the thing we need the most just when we need it 😉

  5. Have been to see the storm in a teacup picture since I missed it first time around and just cannot believe something so lovely could cause offence! I like it a lot.
Also best wishes to your Mum. She must be very frustrated by now and I’m sure everyone’s good words are some help but don’t make her feel as fabulous as she would like. Good luck for her next week.

  6. They’re VERY impressive pictures and you have such a unique style. Would love to see more 🙂
I really enjoyed reading your “8 things” and have to say that even as a 20 year old in 2007 I wouldn’t mind being Mrs Donny Osmond! My friend and I were dragged along to David Cassidy’s comeback concert by our mums when we were 15 and loved it so much we begged them to take us to Donny! It was quite bizarre being in a room full of 40-something year old ladies screaming their heads off and throwing their knickers at the stage as if they were teenagers again 🙂
Best wishes to you and your mum x

  7. I do hope your mum is better soon. It must be a worry for you. I had another photo shoot the other week where your cakes got a starring role again. Have posted them on my blog. One of your cotton rabbits was also popped into the stocking by the fireplace 🙂
