…and this little piggy stayed at home. Which is right where this little piggy will be staying as Amy has nabbed her!
I was seized by an unyeilding desire to knit a pig on tuesday (strange life I lead!!) so this is my prototpye piggy and once I’ve sorted out the snout (I’m not fully happy with the end) then I will hopefully be making a few more. I am pleased with her squiggly tail though!
And talking of knitted toys I was really excited to hear from Carolyn, Suzie and Liz that some of my bunnies are in a new book just out called Home by Anita Kaushal.

(thanks for the pictures which came from Suzie –
I’ve spent all my pocket money on wool so haven’t got a copy yet!)
I recognise them as coming from a batch that I sold around 2 years ago to The Cross in London’s Holland Park. Before I started the blog and got all of the wonderful feedback about the exciting lives of my toys in their new homes I had already made around 180 rabbits. Many of these went to rather posh outlets and it does make me wonder where they all are now. It’s nice to see these two again and in such a chic and stylish home – I hope they remember their humble beginnings!
Happy weekend to you all and especially to Laura at Cupcakes for Clara who is getting married tomorrow!
PS: The lovely Marie is having a wonderful 100th post giveaway at Marie Chantal. You’ll have a wonderful time choosing between her gorgeous products if you’re the winner, so to be in with a chance pop over and leave a comment.

I was just about to email to say how happy Pippi (LCR) is in her new school, when I read this! Your toys bring smiles to everyone. Pippi is in a rather humbler home, but is loved and cherished. Now, do I buy the book? I’m off to the library! Take care

I have to ask. Is the snout knitted or crocheted? It looks a little like crochet in the round.
Just curious. Love her. Love them all. Always. I’m never quick enough to get one, but I enjoy the coveting, and getting to see where they ended up if they couldn’t come to live with me. Your blog is among the most inspiring.

Julie, you are seriously amazing. You have no. idea. whatsoever. how much I covet one of your sweet, lovely little creations. Each one I see makes me want one even more. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford one (there are always other necessary things, that come first, you know?) but I treasure these photos. I hope you don’t mind that I’ve put the fairy angel bunny on as my desktop background. It makes me smile every time I see it. You really spread joy all over the world with your little animals.

Very cute piggy and I’m really pleased that Amy nabbed her first. My chidren always want my prototypes and it’s hard if I can’t oblige!
I still harbour 35 year old bad feelings for a lady who bought a beautiful ‘Green Pollyanna’ doll that my Mum had made – scarred for life 😉

Oh Julie, little piggy is just adorable and the tail..oh it makes me smile so big. And how exciting it must be to see your creations in such fine settings. I can’t give Axel such a great house, but I hope that he finds happiness here with the other softies and enjoys the simple things. I think I shall sit down and knit him a blanket. I’m sure when he gets here, he might need a bit of comfort after the trip across the ocean. 🙂

Your piggy is divine! And so are your other creatures! Many years ago I made some bunnies that are slightly reminiscent of yours from a Debbie Bliss pattern. I have pics on my blog of them. Yours are WAY cuter and loaded with personality. I see you like to tip readers about give aways- you are welcome to enter mine and to tell everyone you know about it! Thanks for letting me know about Maria Chantal’s drawing!
