Amy’s creations

Just thought I’d show you a picture of some of the things Amy made at the sleepover:

Shrinkles_2

On the top row are the shrinkles – sheets of plastic that you draw on, colour in, cut out
and bake so that they shrink down to about a seventh of their original
size. We had some pre-printed flower fairy sheets and some plain sheets that the girls used to design their own fairies (my favourites). Below are the Bindeez – little plastic beads that you lay out on a tray and spray with water to make them stick together. Amy made a pig and a girl to her own design. Being plastic neither are particularly eco-friendly but they are great fun and quite magical to 8 year olds!

  1. This sleepover sounds such good fun – can I come round next time?
I vote for the home drawn fairies too – they are fabulous and are just crying out to have a pin attached to their backs to become brilliant brooches.

  2. When u r 8, fun is more impotant than eco friendly,
especially, when there are birthday celebrations involved.
I suspect that both Amy and Mum had lots of birthday fun.

  3. Gosh, I haven’t thought about shrinkydinks in ages! We loved them when I was a kid and they made an appearance at most birthday parties my brother and I attended.
    Sounds like a wonderful party.
