work in progress

Wip

No, it’s not the result of a bomb going off in a toy shop. This tangle of heads and limbs is my work in progress basket. I have been really busy knitting over the last few weeks and haven’t felt much like sewing up – hence the fact I have hardly any finished toys and this rather large pile of softie carnage! I think it’s time to get out the stuffing and start finishing off a few.

There are 10 little ones earmarked for Mahar Drygoods and I am hoping to have some more ready for my little shop in around 2 weeks.

If you’re on my advance mailing list I’ll be emailing more details when they’re ready. If you’d like to be added please drop me a line.

*(no softies were harmed in the making of this post)

  1. Not carnage but an absolute basket of delights. I love the dark monkey and those legs with the green Mary Janes and pink and white tights. Gorgeous colours.

  2. Looks like softie torture to me – i think i should rescue and re-home them …….
If you could just match the tops to the bottoms i will be round in my rescue wagon in the morning!

  3. I love your basket of bits!! It could be considered to be something from a horror movie – it made me smile!! I love the stripey legs with the little Mary Jane’s and the pink rabbit slippers – you are so talented!! I ordered some needles from Loop – they should arrive on Thursday! I am excited to see what colour they are – thanks for the heads up!

  6. …and I thought that you would make them one at a time…do you ever have any body parts left over?! How do you keep track of all those limbs?

  8. Do I see a giant bunny head in there? I think she needs a home in Oklahoma – once her body parts are attached, of course!
I can’t wait to try my luck in purchasing one of your lovely creatures.
You are quite a multi-talented woman, Julie!
