Thank you again for all of the amazing, inspiring, smile-evoking, heartwarming and generally all round lovely comments on the giveaway post. It’s been such a joy to read them and to hear about all of the things, whether big and momentous or small and personal, that make you happy. Thanks for taking the time to share, I think I’ll be dipping back in to read those comments whenever I’m feeling blue as they certainly lift my spirits.
I’ve now updated the giveaway post to include the 2 winners and I’ve been in touch with both Nina and Linda and have had lovely excited replies from them both. I’m looking forward to seeing which of these animals they’re going to choose. Once they’ve chosen their prizes I’ll be finishing off all the rest of those above, who at the moment are each needing some finishing touches like buttons or tails and then (along with one more poor left-out girl lamb who is waiting to be sewn together) I’ll be listing them for sale. As next week is half term break here I’ll not get much work done but as soon as they are ready to list I will send out an email to my mailing list with specifics on times etc. There’s a sign up sheet over on the right there if you’d like to be notified.
Well, thank you again for taking the time to enter my anniversary giveaway and for your interest in my makes, I still love knitting them after all of these years and I have lots of ideas for the future too, so will be making them for a long while yet 🙂
Congratulations to the winners! 😀 xxx

Julie, they are so sweet!!! I am always deeply impressed by the amount of animals you make, knowing from personal experience the hours it takes to finish just one… You must be a speed knitter! Looking forward to your new projects.

These all are so adorable. Lucky are the ones who got to chose which ones they wanted. You have such talent in making your amazing animals. The color combinations are perfect. Congratulations to the winners.
I forgot to mention in my last comment I made about 20 animals and donated them to a cat charity that is having a bazaar in Nov . It was so wonderful for me to be able to make them for a cause. They want more next year. Everybody loves your little animals.

You know there are a lot of cute ideas out on the internet and they are so tempting, but honestly except for a few scarves, your lambs are one of the few things I’ve actually knitted. They are just too darling.

Hello! I’ve just arrived here at Thimbleanna’s suggestion (I’m her Scottish friend Pam) and I love your sweet little knitted friends! How clever you are. I’m so impressed that you can invent patterns. I can only knit very very slowly and in complete silence, ideally with someone on hand to pick up the dropped stitches. Best wishes from Edinburgh, anyway.

I cannot believe how many of these you have made! And I’m so sorry I missed the giveaway :-(. I made another fox from your pattern. You can see the result on my blog : http://meynensoutenboom.blogspot.com/2018/11/another-fox.html
I’m going to ask you again: why not publish a book, you know, Arno and Carlos style? I would totally buy it, as would many of your fans, I’m sure! And that way I could escape to your fantasy world even when I’m too tired to knit; just curl up on the sofa and dream away!
Thanks again for your wonderful patterns and lovely, lovely blog! It is truly a happy place for me!

Hi Julie, I tried to email but i don’t think it went through so I’ll try on here!! I saw on flicka or instagram or somesuch some toys which were a bit smaller than your regular ones – they were at the end of the photos – are these available for purchase as a pattern??? Please???? Their heads look about the size of the egg cosy heads—- I do shoeboxes and by the time clothing, school/hygiene supplies are in, it is nice to have a slightly smaller cuddly something to love in so it will fit!!! I’m sure your toys should be labelled – ‘endorphin enhancers’ as they just warm the heart and bring a smile to the face!!! thanks so much, Leonie 🙂

Julie,
I just am in love with all your little cotton babies! Every time there is a new one , I have to buy it and have made quite a few of your little ones! I especially love all of the different versions. I am going to try to make the lambs and the mice. I have made 2 of your bunnies and one with a patch eye. their names are Petra and Ivan and my 9 year old granddaughter just loves them we worked on the clothes together. Ivan is wearing the bunny slippers and his outfit is chocolate and teal blue. you have such a talent for color combos and making these little ones with their own personalities.
thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.
