Thanks so much for all of the kind and lovely comments on the previous post. This week has been a lot less dramatic and Toby has been happily at school without incident. For me there has been a lot of knitting, for in knitting my heart knows calm; some tea, cake and laughter with friends and a lovely peaceful woodland walk amongst the snowdrops which are just beginning to break bud.
I took 133 pictures on my wood walk (and got very muddy knees in the process) and there were just too many of them that I wanted to show you, so I made a little film.
Note: To see the snowdrops at their best it's worth cranking it up to HD which you can do by clicking the little thing shaped like a cog and moving the slider to 1080p HD at the top, after a moment you should get a little HD in red by the cog and then you can re-start the film with better quality.
Have a good weekend. It's St Valentines day tomorrow so I hope you're spending it with someone you love, kisses from me too xxx
Well those pictures and film have got my Friday off to a beautiful start. Thank you Julie x

Glad your days are gentler…and you are able to get “back to basic” of what you enjoy. Your snowdrops remind me of our much celebrated Trillium Festival…it really is mesmerizing! We are a long way from your season…up to our waist in snow, -23…not taking into account the wind chill factor! Thanks for the break & the promise of hope we’ll get there.
Fondly, Lori from Port Perry 💚💐💐🇬🇧⛄️⛄️⛄️

The snowdrops are beautiful and I feel pangs of envy at the early signs of spring. We were forecast 10-20 cm of SNOW to DROP on us overnight but it didn’t happen. Maybe tomorrow lol. SO glad you and Toby had a happier week and you got some Quality Knitting Time in. Great therapy!

Thank you so much for sharing your snowdrops. Here in Boston we’ve had over 60 inches of snow in the last three weeks with another foot of snow due on Sunday. Spring and flowers seem months away. Wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day. Enjoy the ones you love. ❤️

Hi Julie,
So pleased your week has been calmer and you were able to have some time for knitting and walks etc. Your slideshow was beautiful. I live in Australia and we don’t have your wonderful woods and winter flowers. I love Australia but love your English countryside, ours is so dry and harsh compared to yours. Hope you some weeks like the last.

Just read your previous post about Toby. Wow. What an eventful week for him, and you. Glad he’s okay. It reminded me of the time my Mum had to go to school every day for a week to collect my brother as he discovered a taste for PVA glue. It took the school a week to get the idea that perhaps they shouldn’t leave him in a room with pots of glue around!

I am new to your blog. I came here after a friend made one of your little cotton rabbits. They are so adorable that I had to buy your pattern and make my first one the past few weeks. I have decided you are a genius;) The pattern was wonderful as you probably have already been told. It was beyond my skill level but with your tip to use knitting help.com I finished with a very lovely little rabbit. Thank you so much! I have also used your tutorial on duplicate stitch on another project and found that very helpful as well.
Now that I have found your blog I think you are even more amazing as a mother and a photographer. I applaud you.
Sincerely,

I have only just found your blog but am so pleased last week was better for you. I too have an autistic son and whilst he his high-functioning, we still have our ‘bad days’ when nothing is right! I also work with autistic children – I currently have 4 low functioning children in my group – so I can totally understand how your days are ….. Sending huge light, love and hugs. xxx

I’ve been busy with house guests coming and going and coming and going. All good but trying to keep up with laundry and visitor comfort has worn me out. Not complaining, just saying I haven’t had time to do my usual blog reading so just read about your difficult weeks. Glad to hear life is calming from the more difficult than usual routine you handle on a daily basis. Thanks for taking the time to share your beautiful photos with all of us. I so enjoy seeing your knitting projects and pics of your garden and walks. I know what you mean about knitting bringing a calm to your day. May a calmness continue for you and your family.
