getting up at 4.40am to drop Amy off for a school day trip to France
then coming back home and crocheting until the boys woke up
loving all the growth in the garden, rainy summers = happy flowers
anticipating the first of our homegrown raspberries, gradually growing fat and juicy on the bush
and enjoying eating them for breakfast!
Hope your week has had some happy snippets too x
Oh thoses raspberries do look good Julie! 🙂
Also looking good is that beautiful blanket, I would love to be wrapped up in that! 🙂

An uplifting post, Julie. I love your beautiful life snippets in those muted colours which have become, in my opinion, your trademark! I’m wondering where Amy is in France right now?

It must be nice to have some me time and your blanket is beautiful. As for the rain, I hate complaining about the weather but a few days of sun would be nice …

You are so good to remind us that eventhough things sometimes feel tough, there are always snippets to hold onto! Mine this week have been all the concerts my boys have been involved in – there’s nothing like children singing to lift your spirits! Thank you

It still boggles my mind that in Europe you can do a day trip to another country – I can barely do that in my state alone!! Enjoying watching you blanket grow!

Thank you, this is just a simple and beautiful post.
I wish I could have raspberries in my garden but this is very hot now in Israel.
I can truly understand the joy of crocheting when all others at home are sleeping.
Have a good day, I have sent you me web shop to look at my crochet work. Thank you

Hi Julie,
A few weeks ago you posted a photo of a cute pouch that you had made to send to a friend with a packet of seeds in; will you be posting the pattern. I know you are a busy lady but i would love to make one for my mobile phone.
Thank you in anticipation

Oh my goodness! Your berries are huge. I love raspberry pie with a vinegar crust, raspberries on ice cream, in a bowl alone, (you see a trend don’t you?)…take care and hope Amy has a fantastic day trip. Amazing how close France is. Take care. The violas too, just lovely.

Hi Carole, I’ve not forgotten but just haven’t had the time to finish writing up the pattern properly – checking row numbers and drawing the chart and stuff takes more concentration than I’ve been able to find lately! I will finish off the pattern writing as soon as possible.

I love the colour of the pansys too, nicer than some of the bright ones you see in garden centres.

4.30am?! Goodness me. Mind you, I do find getting up earlier than usual seems to allow for much more to be done. Your raspberries looks particularly delicious. The garden might like the rain, but I think I’ve had enough now, thanks very much! x

Ugh! We could use some of your wet and cold here! We were hiking last week in 112 degree weather! To blasted hot! My poor flowers look so sad and worn out. The way I feel!
That does look like a yummy breakfast. I need to get off this computer and go and pick some goodness from my veggie gardens for breakfast.
Feeling lazy this morning…………
