I have a host of knitted animals in my 'in progress basket' at the moment.
They're all waiting for little bits and pieces; a dress or jumper, a few french knots here, a button or a tail there.
The little bear at the back is shortly going to be a raffle prize over at Saving Rare Breeds. He's made from organic rare breed yarn (Manx Loghtan) and has an organic wool aran jumper. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning him or if you'd like to see the lovely selection of other raffle prizes that they have please follow this link. They do so much good work for dying breeds and they'd really appreciate your support.
This is where I've been spending most of the last week, with my bottom parked in that wicker chair, my little radio turned to chill and my fingers working hard.
I like to have my collection of needles near by, ready to dip into when the need to start a new project strikes, but for now I'm trying to focus on the animals in the basket and not get distracted from finishing them off soon!
Oooooh that overflowing basket looks divine, i would love to dive right in there it looks so much fun :o)
I hope your scrumptious teddy makes lots of money for the rare breads charity…in fact i’ve no doubt he will.
talking of distraction, i’m supposed to be making a ginger cake for my father-in-law and then sewing for my shop…NOT blog surfing!!
have a lovely weekend julie

I am a relatively new follower and actually found you via your Etsy shop. Can I just say that I absolutely ADORE your characters and am expecting a little bundle of my own in October but simply cannot make up my mind which one I want to buy from you, especially as I have no idea if we are having a girl or a boy! I may have to just restrain myself and wait but then I have no idea how to make up my mind as they are all absolutely gorgeous!

Will we have another opportunity to buy one of your sweet little friends? I wasn’t lucky last time, but am undeterred. Your family of friends is so sweet and I would love to have one of them visit me permanently one day.
I so admire you and your work. My best to you from Texas.

Eeeeep! Look at those cuties! They look gorgeous and I am a teensy bit jealous as I have not knitted a stich for over 3 weeks as we have a new kitten and well the rest you can I expect guess. Your spot by the radio looks inviting and divine. It has reminded me that I could pop out to my summerhouse for some much needed needle therapy.

What a basketful of deliciousness. Can’t wait to see them when finished. I haven’t been lucky enough to give one a home yet, but I’m still hoping.
I was talking to someone yesterday who said they were easily bored. Not a craft fan, obviously! How can anyone possibly be bored with so many things to do? My problem is, I haven’t enough hours in my day. Knitting, sewing and generally creating bring contentment.
