Thanks for all of the good wishes over Christmas. Toby did find it very hard this year but there were some fun times with family and friends. We're slowly clicking back into our familiar and comforting term-time routines here and there is at last a little knitting time creeping back into my days. While I continue to settle back into day to day stuff I thought I'd leave you with some of the things that made me smile in 2010…
What were your happiest parts of last year and do you have any resolutions or hopes for this one? My only resolution for 2011 is to step into each day and look for the best in it, to let the past go and not to worry about the future. Anyway, whatever your hopes and dreams for this year, I wish you a happy and healthy year.
Happy New Year. I don’t tend to make resolutions as they get broken all too easily, but instead I just wish for a happy, healthy and peaceful 2011 for us all.

Happy new year to you too! I love your resolution. My resolution for this year is to be kind to myself. You know that inner voice that can be so critical. I’m trying to ease up on myself. Hope your new year is full of happiness and calm.

Christmas is hard enough for people anyway but if your little man loves routine it must be really hard! Glad things are calming down for you now. Happy new year.

Happy 2011. I’m with you on your resolution, that’s a good one! I went swimming today for the first time in months but I’m not thinking of it as a resolution. Finishing off WIPs might be a better one for me! 🙂 Hope the routine of term time brings calm and happy times for all x

Murphy came home from his two years from Argentina. Cam and Char each bought a house within two blocks of us – because they love being around family. Gin moved to Santa Fe, so I can drive to her in ten hours. Santa Fe is frosting on the cake. These are my great blessings. And dear friends, some I have known for years, and some I know only through pictures and words. I am deeply grateful.

That’s a great resolution although I think my husband would be over the moon if I simply resolved to be tidier and put my knitting away once in a while!
Thanks for your kind wishes too. Baby and I are now home safely and adjusting nicely.

Happy New Year Julie , no resolutions for me really. I’ve been given some Beatrix Potter and some Brambly Hedge patterns that I’d really like to have a go at . It’s just getting the courage up to do all the teeny tiny pieces .
