I've just treated myself to some new yarn – Madeline Tosh Vintage in Antler and Tart*. It may be eye-wateringly expensive, but my goodness it is gorgeous!
and perfect for a pair of lovely mitts to keep my hard-working fingers toasty and warm on those cold and frosty mornings that are just around the corner!

* I bought mine from Loop
Wow, Julie – can’t wait to see these. Hope you are OK?

Great Scott, that yarn is gorgeous. Funny, to call the red “tart,” – well, sort of funny. Really, though, that red looks like it would be literally tart if you could taste it. What an amazing color. I would never buy it for myself – for shame; it would be wasted on a person of my – um- talent. But it is entirely suitable for you. I sigh at the rightness of it.

It does have a nice color. Everything now days seem to be more expensive but, I think that we need to treat ourselves to some things that will be used, not just looked at.

reading the above comment from HEather rings true. I go through phases of knitting and when i get stuck in i just love it. My mother in law owns a wool shop and it is the lovliest place as they have a sofa, make you coffee and encourage you to just sit and knit. Loving the colours of your yarns. Happy knitting xxx
