Thanks for all the get well wishes – they worked and I'm feeling a lot better. The only downside of feeling more chipper is the backlog of housework waiting for me and not much of an excuse to ignore it any longer!
When I was scribbling out notes for the bunny trainers recently, it occurred to me that I should have a better system for keeping my notes (I usually jot stuff down in a variety of notebooks and I've lost stuff before). So I had a play and designed some note paper which I've printed out and will keep in a box file ready to do my jottings on.
It occurred to me that this might be useful for others so if you'd like some you can download a pdf of 4 pages here.

If anyone thinks of any extra pages that might come in useful please let me know and I'll see if I can help.
Here's wishing you a good weekend (it's going to be a hot one here – too hot for housework obviously!)
Hi Julie,
What a brilliant idea, you are clever. I do the same thing with knitting or crochet notes. Also notes that have blogsites on them with whatever item i have seen & liked.Yours is a brilliant idea, and everything will be together & organised. Now, if you could produce something for housework!! You could be a millionaire lolol!!

What a great idea Julie, I always have my notes all over the place…..maybe a page that records the yarn used/ply/colour batch/and amount needed?
Rumour has it that my little felted ‘Glastonbury Bunny’ won a prize at our Agricultural Show!! http://www.baamekniits.blogspot.com check him out, not up to your standard but cute all the same!
Have a great weekend 🙂

Hiya
I’m glad your feeling a little better now. It’s amazing what a day’s rest can fix isn’t it. But Like you said in your earlier post unfortunately it’s not very often that us mummy’s get that luxury.
Your note paper is a brilliant idea and look’s very cute too. I often thought about getting a folder to keep all my scrappy knitting notes on and this would be perfect so thank you sooo much for sharing it with us.

Glad you’re doing lots better, Julie. Your note papers are wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
And I agree with you, housework should never be attempted in the heat of the day. Better to just sit under a ceiling fan and knit or design.
Stay well and enjoy your summer.

What a good idea – I may just pinch the sheet with the row numbers on, as despite keeping my pattern notes in a note-book, they are still pretty unintelligible to anyone other than myself. Small square graph paper comes in handy too.

what a FAB idea! There’s nothing worse than jotting something down and then hunting for AGES ’cause you can’t remember where you put it…..and then finding it when it’s too late! arggghh!
have a fun-filled day today…….

But isn’t it sort of cheating? Keeping organized, well structured notes as you design and realize? I mean – then there’s a chance that you could actually remember from prototype to second version to pattern what worked and what didn’t. Where is the sport in actually, deliberately keeping track of everything? Where is the chaos? The frustration? Six horse experiments later, and I’m STILL not sure what I did from head design to head design. I can’t imagine living without the stress and confusion. :0)

I have dozens of notebooks…they even have bits of yarn taped into them with pattern notes and ideas. Love your idea, though I’d have to buy a printer to do my own! Like the look of that yarn in the photo as well.

Thank you for sharing this with us Julie, its beautiful note paper and will (hopefully) get me more organised. I have a horrible habit of writing things on scraps of paper, finising the item, deciding to make another a few weeks on and not being able to find my pattern! Hopefully this will solve the problem for me.

Dear Julie,
I have been following your blog for a long time now but never left a comment yet. But I love the idea of your note paper and appreciate it that you are sharing them with us.
Maybe a more or less blank page with header where you can just sketch out the design and make technical comments, notes, etc would be great, too.
Also instead of having note books for projects (which I have) this way you can put it in a file and keep updating it, so much more versatile than a notebook.
I am not only new to leaving comments on blogs, but new to blogging too. It is by no means ready or perfect yet, still here is the link for anybody brave enough to have a look.

Glad you’re feeling better…and thanks sharing such a great idea! I have to confess a sneaking affection for my falling to-bits, covered-in-threads, sketches, mind maps and post it notes (other brands are available!) Project Books…but I’ll have to get organised. We’re downsizing this year! Eeek! Jenni x
