friday afternoon knitting

Thanks for the kind comments recently about poor Toffee and Amy's ballet performance and the garden. I don't get as much time as I'd like to reply to everyone but I wanted to say here how much I appreciate you taking the time to leave me a message.

A couple of people asked about bunny knitting – there's certainly a lot of it still going on here (although I'm still quite enamoured with crochet too!) and I should have some animals ready in the next week to list over on Etsy (will email the advance mailing list with details as soon as they're ready). I've been playing with ideas for boy's shoes and have just about worked out a new design for trainers, so hope to have a couple of those ready soon.

Afternoonknitting

I'm off to make the most of the last quiet hour before the weekend and start on a head for that poor head-less bunny. Have a happy weekend where you are.

  1. Love the trainers. I can’t knit in hot weather, very frustrating. I’m not sure whether I ever got on the mailing list, can you add me if not? Email on my blogger profile (or hopefully with this comment).

  2. Hello 🙂 Can anyone join the mailing list for the advance notice of bunnies? If so, where do I sign up for it please?

  3. I can hardly wait! 😀 I love the little cute bunnies that you make. 🙂 I wish I could knit like you!
You should teach Amy how to knit if she doesn’t already…. Maybe teach her your bunny pattern when she’s ready?

I too would love to be added to your advance mailing list – have tried to sign up several times but must be doing something wrong!! Your garden looks very productive – hope you are all enjoying the fruits of your labours. Love looking at your very special blog. JennyH.

  5. Wow – those sneaks are perfectly wonderful!
The sight of your lovely lush garden makes me want to weep – I have thoroughly rotten chipmunks that keep digging everything up! And I think they enjoy it too!

  7. While it is true those trainers are magnificent I have to say I feel a bit green around the gills looking at that headless wee animal 😛

  8. Trainers are A-doreable. But the headless bunny is a little disconcerting. The other two look like they’re having a lovely summer time, though, traveling in the flowered bag and having a nice tea in the shady part of the garden. I have finished a pig and a husky dog. I think I am wonderful. or, if not wonderful, amazing.
Have a lovely weekend, Jules = it’s Independence Day weekend for the states (sorry – maybe that’s touchy for the King George crew- :0) ). So we’ll be red, white and blue and eating ourselves sick and watching fireworks (from a very safe distance). Oh = and parades. Could be fun.

  9. Awesome that more bunnies will be on Etsy. How do we get on the advanced list so we can be sure to buy one? I have expecting a new granddaughter in a few weeks and would love to get her one for her “birth”day. 🙂 My daughter and I read your blog everyday and consider you and your family as a long distance knitting friend!

  10. Hi Julie
Can’t sleep could not stop thinking about the knitted strawberries you made a few weeks back so I thought I would get up and sneak another peak on your blog for inspiration and tell you about my weekend.
Today is the annual family picnic in Bushey Park near Hampton Court – it is my birthday tomorrow so we like to make the most of the weather at this time of year and have a family get together which is a chaotic mass of family, kids & dogs but so much fun!
I was delighted to turn my Little Cotton Bunny calendar to my birthday month to see your lovely little characters smiling out at me to wish me a happy birthday – I can’t believe I am seeing them so quickly – where is this year going?
Are you planning another calendar this year, you will certainly have enough new designs to add!
Have a wondeful day, the weather looks to be good.
