Thanks to a generous voucher from a friend I have treated myself to some gorgeous new yarn for a cosy autumn scarf (bought from first4yarns). It's really soft and beautifully marled.
but on the not-so-lovely side is this…
Luckily for Toby it has fixed easily with a dab of superglue or he'd be in the doghouse for sure!
oops!

Some fool snapped one of my gorgeous Knitpro dpns just recently. I couldn’t shout, or stop pocket money or send anyone to the naughty step….cos I broke it!
That yarn is so beautiful. MadelineTosh yarn so gorgeously squishy and soft.

Oh, Julie. Toby is worth a hundred of them (like I have to tell you that). Motherhood of any kind or shape is a good part damage control. And usually the damage is to something you care about (or you wouldn’t even notice it). The yarn, so soft and lovely – so much like the children in your house. Beautiful, precious, the result of hours of loving effort – but ready to snarl up at the slightest chance.
A soft scarf – mmmm.

I collect old needles, and I broke my favourite green pair. I was so angry with myself. They couldn’t be mended, so at least you’re a little better off. I’m not aware of that yarn (only one tiny sewing shop here) but will look on-line…the colour is great. Dawn

Oops, my husband stood on my beautiful wooden needles a couple of weeks ago. He’s 6ft 5 and nearly 15st, so they were shattered beyond repair. He said I shouldn’t have left them lying around. How rude!!
Your new yarn is beautiful and I’m sure you’ll be making something gorgeous as usual with it. Lynne xx

Beautiful yarn! I have snapped more needles than I can count, although I recently switched to these wonderful bendy DPNs Bryspun I think, instead of cheap bamboo. I grip them too tightly and snap! There they go!

Isn’t it wonderful to have friends who give gift certificates for yarn? Next time you may have to spend it on needles but looks like your yarn purchase this time will produce a beautiful scarf!
