unravel

A little date for your diary if you're in the Farnham, Surrey area at the end of the month:

Poster

Unravel

a festival of knitting

handspun yarns, talks, workshops and more…

Saturday 27 February 2010, 10am – 5pm

Sunday 28 February 2010, 10am – 4pm

I'm very proud that they chose my image for their poster. Unfortunately I'm not able to go myself but it sounds like a great weekend of woolly wonderfulness, more details here. If you go please fondle some yarn on my behalf!

  1. Looks like a lovely event, and may I say your cake sets the poster off beautifully =) Unfortunately I live about a kajillion miles away from Surrey, so I will join you on the ‘unable to attend’ list.
Hope Toby is feeling better x

  2. Great photograph. My sister in law lives very near Farnham, but is not a knitter.
I am a knitter, but live too far away.
I shall have to wait for the wonder that is Woolfest.

  3. Ooh, I’ve had that picture on my kitchen wall for the past 3 weeks to remind me to go to Unravel – didn’t realise it was one of your babies! I shall definitely fondle some yarn on your behalf…and probably bring it home too. I’m really looking forward to the day out!

  4. I recognised this instantly as one of yours Julie, when I saw it in Let’s Knit mag (or was it Simply Knitting – maybe both!!). At first I thought someone was copying again – but then I saw your copyright logo on the photo. You must be really proud. Too far for me too, so everyone can ‘fondle’ or buy a ball of yarn for me (not that you all need excuses eh?). Hope Toby is feeling better now, and you have a nice half term break. Lynne xx

  5. Unfortunately this California girl won’t make the Unravel event. [sigh] I am not surprised at all that they chose that adorable cupcake. You are so talented I never get tired of looking.

  6. Well done. This cake is beautiful. I wish I was nearer and then I would definitely go. I hope you are all well, especially Toby. It has been a hard Winter, one of the worst ones that I can remember.
    Love Zoe x

  7. Thanks Julie, I should be able to make that I live quite nearby and attended a first-aid course in Farnham a couple of weeks ago. It’s a shame you can’t make it I would love to say hi sometime – let me know if you are attending any other events in the future.

  8. Oh my I would love to come over the ocean and go to this…and I would love for your precious toby to be well though it does sound like fun being able to sit and knit while keeping him company.

  10. I have to look at your web site every day, because the photos of the toys you knit make me smile! I’m 60 later this year, and I would love to buy myself one of your gorgeous knitted rabbits or bears before then! I’ve got a list of ‘things to do before I’m 60’, and owning one of your toys is on it – along with ‘ride on the back of a motorbike’, ‘learn to ride a pushbike’ and ‘grow my hair into a bob’ plus many others!

  11. I spent the morning at Unravel today Julie – I definitely fondled plenty of yarn on your behalf. Fondled it, picked it up, purchased it and brought it home….oh dear! Just about to blog all my booty before having another fondle and deciding how to use it. It was a really nice show, well worth visiting – let’s hope they do it again next year.
