Well, I'm glad that half term is over and everyone is happily back in the term time routine. Toby has really struggled recently with any kind of change and so half term with it's major change of routine was a tough week for him resulting in lots of outbursts and stress. It wasn't helped by the departure of the sunny, golden side of autumn and the arrival of the wet and windy one as he's really not a happy boy outside in the rain. Still, it wasn't all bad and we did have something to brighten the end of our week thanks to the arrival of a beautiful package from Jenny as part of Trash's rainbow swap.
Amy and I were delighted with all of the wonderful goodies and really touched that Jenny had put so much thought into everything that she'd made and collected. There were even jelly snakes for Toby which definitely brightened his mood!
Amy has staked a claim to a fair portion of the goodies and is having such fun filling all of the pockets on the gorgeous bunting with all of her treasures. Those pockets really are clever and Jenny's attention to detail is wonderful with the colours phasing in order from one to the next starting with the button and ending with the outside of the pocket – I love clever details like that!
Thanks for all of the goodies Jenny. I feel very guilty now as my own package isn't ready to be sent yet – I better go and get my act together!
The bunting is so cute and colorful. Love the idea of adding pockets. Fun gifts!

This is the sort of package you dream of receivng, isn’t it? I can’t say I blame Amy for laying claim to many of the goodies – if I were there she’d have to fight me off!

What a lovely package to receive and wonderful bright colours. I wonder what goodies you sent in return? Talking of rainbows we spotted one on the way to my MIL’s this morning and Leah was quite thrilled with it! I think it might be her first she’s seen :o)

Lovely! I wonder if the bunting could be combined with a christmas decoration – I saw some bunting yesterday with Merry Christmas appliqued on it – to make an abbreviated advent calendar?

Just wanted to use your site (if I may) to let people know about some con artists/scammers out there who “knitters” need to be warned about. I and many others made contact with the company called Acecrafts through the Laughing Hens website. Everything seemed above board with over the top information about the company, names addresses details of how they operate etc., and basically they required small items hand knitting by people but first of all requested £7.00 as a “refundable” down payment for the knitting pack to ensure people didn’t pinch the patterns/yarn/sell on Ebay etc., which was totally plausible. However, nobody has received their knitting pack and they are now ignoring all emails/phone calls. So all handknitters out there PLEASE BEWARE. It saddens me that there are people like this even in the world of knitting.

That is a very upsetting comment (above) of the scammers that Susan Shaw has shamed in her comment.
On a brighter note: The bunting is gorgeous, the little pockets are a fab idea!

Lovely jubbly rainbows! I bought your knitting pattern for cupcakes today, in readiness for making Christmas prezzies for my Mum and Mum-in-law. Love your blog, I’ve been reading it for about a year or so now…wonderful stuff!
Pop over to my newly made blog sometime for a nice cup of tea! 🙂
