giveaway winner

I've so enjoyed reading all of your comments over the last week. It's wonderful that so many people find happiness in life's small and simple things and something I count myself incredibly lucky to share in. Anyway, thanks for the smiles that your comments gave me and for all of the very kind compliments about Gracie.

I've put the numbers into the random number generator

Random

and the one that came up was:

Winning number

"Hi
Julie, Today what has made me happy is a peaceful day at work, the
dishwasher repair man being on the doorstep when I got home, my niece
having a baby, finding the perfect shirt to buy, all my shopping at
Waitrose being on offer, selling a painting and a sunny walk with the
dogs – why can't every day be like today!

I just love the little pocket-rabbit – I'd be happy with just that!!"

I hope you like her Caroline.

I'm sorry there can only be one winner, but I do hope to have more giveaways in future – maybe I'll have one in time for christmas. Thanks again to everyone who commented and took the time to share their happies. I'm off to join my knitting bag for a little happy time!

  1. Congratulations Caroline. After reading your comments I realise that you really did deserve to win Gracie. A day like that sounded like it needed a cherry on top. Or at least a pair of cherry shoes! Congratulations…I wish it was me! Oh and Julie….you’re very kind to give away your work. I hope everyone who commented appreciates that!

Your work basket does look wonderful – maybe you could just keep photographing that and sharing it with us – it certainly makes for a warm glow. Thanks for your generosity and gorgeous creativity. 6. OK, that’s adorable. Is that your wip bag? I would want to knit all day long if that’s what my wips looked like! (-= I especially love that little white mouse. What a sweet face she has. Congratulations to Caroline. I can’t even remember if I left a happy thought to enter or not. Lazy me. But I do enjoy reading your blog, Julie!

  8. Thank you Julie! I came home from work having had the worst day ever to find out that I’d won Gracie, so that has cheered me up no end. You know she will have a good home with me, I promise I won’t let the dogs commandeer her (as if!!!) or my daughter either for that matter!
I’m quite amazed to have won this seeing how many entries there were – must be my lucky day, I’d better go and buy a lottery ticket too! Thanks again,

  11. Yes many congratulations. What a treat for you. I think the random number generator is a great way of distributing the gorgeous little toys. Could you think about using it Julie even when you are selling them? It would make me hope that we could all be in with a chance of one day sharing our lives with one of our very own.

  16. Congrats to the winnder Carolne.
I have found this adorable little blog via many pathes. Mostly, Lucy in the Attic. I am so glad to join in and follow along.
This is the first time I’ve noticed the tag to Autism. I have a nephew who is 16 and autistic. My brother is actually the CEO of Autism Speaks here in the States. Our whole family is very active in the work being done. I don’t know how you have the time to do what you do and keep up with this. But, I’m guessing this is a nice release for you.
Hope you don’t mind if I follow along on your journey.

Julie: Have you thought about making a miniature sweater pattern for all of us to knit and hang on our Christmas tree? I am on my 5th of your miniature christmas stocking pattern and I was thinking it would be sooo perfect if you could share with us how to knit sweaters and hang it on our tree with the stockings I am making from your pattern… Give it some thought, would you please!!!
