irresistible

I love the change between seasons and probably the main reason I love it so much is my childish excitement at all the new yarn types that are released. This year is no exception with Rowan launching lots of irresistibly gorgeous new yarns – thicker weights for the felted tweed range, a lovely mix of wool and silk in the new Silky Tweed, intriguing textures with Lima and my favourite; the lovely fluffy and soft Alpaca Cotton which I've already made a bunny with.

New yarn1

The only difficulty now is choosing which to use next!

  1. What a great bunny! Lovely idea to make him (or her!) different colours, very different. Those yarn colours look really Autumnal, going to go and have a look at them now……….!:-)

  7. The bunny is so cute… Have you thought of selling your pattern? That way we can knit one for ourselves and not worry about trying to get one from the Etsy! Give it some thought… Adorable colors on the bunny!

  8. I love your bunny! I work with alpaca all the time with my own bunnies, but they are not knitted like yours. It is so easy to sew with and makes such soft, adorable toys. Love your blog, take care xo

  13. Wow, I would love to squish the alpaca cotton. My friend and I are yarn squishers, we love to go into the shop and touch and squish every type there. What is the gauge on that, wonder if it would make a good sock yarn?
