The school Easter break has started and in fine form too with sunshine and spring breezes. Activities with the children will make it hard for me to have much computer time over the next 2 weeks and so I will be shutting up shop over on Etsy shortly (patterns will remain available to download via Lulu, barring any problems their end). I am finishing off a few animals and cakes but unfortunately time has run out to get them listed before Easter, they'll be ready after and I'll email my mailing list with more details once they're ready.
Happy easter to you all – may the Easter Bunny bring you lots of chocolate and smiles x
Happy Easter to you and yours too. I hope the sun shines on you throughout your holiday. The bunny is too cute!

I LOVE your bunny! All your stuff is lovely, especially the bunny and the christmas bears on ribbon.
I was wondering, if you ever make something and don’t know who to send it to, if you would consider sending it to a seriously ill child to make them smile please? I read one of your entries about how a parcel arrived had made you all smile!
The kids all have serious illnesses, 3 (Harry G, Dylan S, Sam M) have autism ontop of other health problems too.
I’m going to start reading here more often I think!
Take care

Tried [and tried] to download the bunny eggcosy pattern from Lulu and in the end got really fed up trying and gave up. I’m going to be too late to get it done for this Easter now. When I get my patience back I might have another go though.
Easter blessings.

Hope that you and your little family have a lovely Easter. Its strange to think of Easter heralding warmer weather. Around here it’s usually the last weekend to fit in camping before it gets too cold for the children! Your little blue bunny is beautiful….but what else could she be? Cheers Jen

Hi Julie,
I hope you and the family have a wonderful and relatively stress-free break! It will be a little lonely not having you about for the next few weeks, but I do know what school holidays are all about and sometimes it is nice to just “enjoy” the children and not have to think about anything else!! I hope you get some Easter goodies (your latest bunny is oh-so-cute!) and look forward to hearing from you again soon!
Smiles, Audrey

Hi Julie, I’m Cristina from Italy.
I’m sure you heard about the terrible earthquake happened in L’Aquila (central Italy) last monday, with hundreds of victims and about 50.000 people who lost everything they had in a few seconds – children, houses, things, working activities – it was just a terrible tragedy. Among such great pain and endless stories of death and disaster I heard something that was unbearably heartbreaking last night on telly. There was this man in his forties telling his story, and he told that he and his family were scared to death by the big earthquake that night. The walls and roof of their house were seriously damaged and now it is risky to stay in, but they cannot get out and leave the house because they have an autistic child of 15 and they don’t want to expose him to the fear and insecurity feeling he would suffer from leaving the place and the things he knows so well. It would be like making a violence on their child and causing him a great pain and distress and they want to protect him from that as far as they can. So these incredible parents preferred to remain in the damaged house (though the aftershocks are still continuing) and face their own terror rather than cause their son more fear and confusion. The man said they’ll be ready to rush out in case of new danger, and that after all they have been lucky because they’re all still alive and their house hasn’t completely collapsed like most of the others in town.
I think this great sacrifice for the good of their helpless son is incredibly generous and I was truly touched by this story. Among all the pain and tears and despair we’re witnessing in these days, he made me believe that the power of love will always be stronger than any disgrace.
This story made me think of you of course, and I thank you again for making my autism awareness greater each time you write about your experience. ;o)
Happy Easter to you and your family, and take care.
Cristina from a very sad Italy xxx

I love your rabbits! Is there a pattern for the different animals with legs? I find the egg cosy pattern on Lulus blog, but they are made for eggs. I love the fox, the bear and the rabbit. Thanks for showing these lovely things, my first visit in your blog, but not the last. Happy easter to you from Juliann i Norway.

Perfect article, can’t wait to use it this weekend. Hey, if you want to post your article on a cool website or check out some similar articles you should go to Wacanai.com ( http://www.wacanai.com/intro ). People post their articles on “how to.” It tells you how to make gifts, food, drinks, how to fix things, get stains out and a whole lot more. I love it! You have to check it out yourself!!!!!!!!!!! They will promote your article for you and everything, plus they have graphs you can put on your page to track how many people read and use your info.

Just to say that I at last have a copy of the pattern but what a problem it was. The Lulu site is not greedy-friendly and wouldn’t be surprised if other people are having similar difficulties. Suppose it’s something that should be taken up with Lulu but have run out of energy to try!
