christmas tree decorations

We are starting to get excited about christmas here at our house. A few mince pies have already been gobbled up, the first door on the advent calendar has been opened and the countdown has begun in earnest! So, in keeping with the spirit of christmas I thought I'd write up a new free pattern to share with you – hopefully there's enough time to make a few before the big day arrives!

Christmas toys

They are based on my teeny tiny toy pattern but have a dress and a hanging loop to make them suitable for hanging on the christmas tree. You can find the pattern here. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Oh those would be completely darling on the tree! Well, they would be if there was time to add them to my, can’t say the word without hyperventilating, list! Next year…or maybe OOOOOOOH!!!!! what about spring variations for springtime trees? Oh…..ok. I’ve just started myself a new list..

  2. Lovely, thanks! Are you going to sell any of your beautiful toys before Christmas? I could not buy one last time and I am looking forward to your next sale (and my kids too!).

  5. Your stuff is so lovely. I wish there were a few more extra days in the week with all of the lovely ideas you give me. I am still on the case of the wristwarmers 🙂 I am going to sign off in a minute to do a few more rows. Thank you x

  6. I’m sure if good karma comes from selfless generosity then you must lead a charmed life.
Christmas budded here on Sunday. The kids couldn’t wait another second so the tree is up. The tinsel is glistening and the Christmas crafts have begun. I’ve posted a free download of a reindeer drawing that Amy might like to have a play with and see what she can do.
    Cheers

  10. Hi Julie
Thanks for your generosity in sharing your lovely patterns. Just made 6 stockings and seeing your tiny rabbits and looking at your pictures wondered if you had given any thought to getting your patterns published. A book of them all would be a wonderful inspiration to all of us who read your blog. I’m sure we would all love to try out your patterns and your tips on how to get such a lovely neat finish. I have been knitting toys for my children for a while now (even my 16 year old still likes to receive a new one)

  14. They’re soooo adorable and it makes me want to drop my knitting project to cast on this project. I really enjoy your blog and your work. I love it when you share what you make even when it is not related to your stuffed animals. I plan to do your wristwarmers after the holiday craziness! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
