I was so happy on friday because I got my long awaited Ravelry invite! I spent most of yesterday evening browsing and playing – it’s very addictive (I know, I should get out more!).
It is astounding how popular this new website has been and the 2 people running it deserve medals for the sheer amount of hardwork in putting it together, ironing out the bugs and keeping cool under intense pressure from all us impatient knitters.

I am also happy today because my little girl told me she wants
to be just like me when she grows up (bless her little cotton socks!) I know it’s only a matter of time before this kind of thing becomes
a thing of the past – the days when
she wants to wear the same things as me are definitely numbered. In a
few short years she’ll scorn the entire contents of my wardrobe, but for
now we can wear matching shoes in harmony!!

Your crocs look great- I’m coveting a pair of prima’s at the moment. Enjoy it while it lasts…before long you will be too embaressing. Don’t worry she will come back…in about 10 years! (just getting there with my mum now 🙂

Oh lucky you. I am still waiting for my invite to appear, hopefully not too long a wait. I love the Mary Jane crocs too, wish they would arrive here in Oz. I had a pair of the normal ones and wore them so much I got a hole in the bottom of them. How cute and inspirational too that your daughter wants to be just like you.

Ravelry is fab and totally addictive – I got my invite this weekend too and luckily the kids were away as I spent way too much time on it sussing it out and seeing what fantastic things people have created. You’re one of my first friends on there – thanks for your nice comment. How much fun is it!

Your post had a personal touch for me today – my new shoes arrived and my son was so excited that we had the same shoes so in homage we have taken a picture and posted on the blog of our “birkis”. Always an inspiration!
