  5. Thank you Julie – you failed to mention the time that you thought you’d killed me after we tried to re-enact a circus act we had seen on Blue Peter.
    Luckily I have very many happy memories of my big sister and I don’t think I ever held a grudge for long 🙂
    Do you know that as recently as last week I am still having soap put on my toothbrush?! – that’ll teach me for telling my kids some of the things you used to do to me!

  7. How is it that as big sisters, we did such awful things to our little brothers, but we still loved them? Actually, now I come to think about it, I think my little brother was the one playing tricks on me and I got into trouble for it because I was the eldest!!

  8. Nothing wrong with a loving big sister whipping her little brother into shape! My younger brother and sister still remind me of the time I tried to teach them french ( they were probably about 7) and when they got it wrong I made them drink salt and pepper water, family folklore a wonderful thing!
