376 thank yous!

I am completely gobsmacked that so many of you left me a comment on the last posts and I’m still not able to fit through doorways very easily on account of how big my head has grown at all the compliments you heaped upon me! I’m just glad that I made it a random prize draw rather than a prize for the nicest comment otherwise I’d have to be making you all one! I shall float gently back down to earth and get on with the business of knitting up some more toys for the shop as there seem to be plenty of you wanting them!

This seems a good time to mention that I’m not taking on any more special orders. Not that I have an easy time saying no (something that’s landed me in plenty of trouble in the past, but that’s another story!) and especially as I’ve had some requests from some very deserving and lovely people. It’s just that demand has now way exceeded my capacity to supply and so it seems fairer to turn everyone down rather than selecting a few people at random. I’ve put some details on a new page called things I get asked a lot… and hope that this explains things.

So, I suppose you’ll be wanting to know who won my prize draw? Well, I’m afraid I chickened out of sitting up night after night with my scissors snipping 376 comments into a bowl and instead resorted to a random number generator (thanks to those of you who suggested that).

The number was 121 and the winner is…

…Kerflop. Conratulations to you Jessica and to everyone else many, many, many thanks for taking the time to leave such kind comments.

  1. Julie, I totally understand your decision! Follow your intuition. I already wondered how you kept going with so much on your mind! The most important thing is that making your wonderful softies is giving you relaxation and some time for your self, so you will be able to cope with everything else!

  2. Well done, Kerflop, and how sad for the rest of us! Was it just me or was everyone on tenterhooks yesterday? And when Julie said she’d post today I wanted to shake her virtual shoulders and shout “Post now, post now!!”. Guess I’ll just have to wait until more monkeys come up in your shop. Happy knitting!

  3. Great news that you have enjoyed the comments so much, and that everyone thiks you are so wonderfully marvellous. This blog is one of my favourites and I visit everyday and am usually in awe of your productivity. Looking forward to seeing the next batch of rabbits. Oh, and thanks for the free cupcake pattern. Isabel has asked for one on a t-shirt so I shall be trying it out soon.

  5. shucks. So wanted a little softie. I will have to get my needles out and work on a pattern I found. Doesn’t come with the cute clothes and will probably be commandeered by some little ones, but maybe it will be like sock knitting and I will get good at it!!
    Keep up the good work!!

  6. hi ya there, this is my first time here from Malaysia & I must say your site has triggered some interest in the world of knitting. Some time back I did try knitting when I was pregnant with my first daughter who is now 2++ but I find it all so hard. So I quit. Now, after seeing what you’ve done maybe I should start again… I really think your ideas are great.
